FAQs

  • Via email at Paige@pprestipinotherapy.com or fil out the connect form at the bottom of this page or by clicking the contact tab above.

  • I work with individuals as young as middle-school aged through elder adulthood. The majority of my clients are college aged through mature adulthood.

  • Unfortunately, not at this time. I will make updates to my website when that changes. I create a Superbill for clients each month, which is like a receipt that outlines all the sessions you had and paid for during the month. This Superbill can be submitted to your insurance company for POSSIBLE reimbursement. I recommend talking with your insurance company. Click on the insurance tab above to read some helpful tips for when talking with your insurance company.

  • Email me to inform me that you cannot make our next scheduled session and I will respond with alternative times for us to reschedule for. I appreciate a 24- hour notice so that I can fill that time with another client or a call on my waitlist. If it is past the 24- hour marker, I still appreciate a heads up! Sometimes clients will inform me only hours before our session time and I am still able to fill that time with another client.

  • If you decide you no longer want to meet, or you have met your therapy goals, you and I will discuss termination and end our therapy work together. Whether we have been working together for years, or we only met once or twice, therapy is your choice. If I am not meeting your needs, I will gladly help provide resources and referrals. If a client stops scheduling or showing up for sessions and I have not heard back from them for a couple of months, I will assume you are no longer interested in continuing and I will terminate our work. I will notify you of this. A client can also start therapy, then stop it, then start it back up at a later time.

  • There is no “right” or “wrong” way to do therapy and no set way to prepare for therapy. I encourage people to not place too much pressure on themselves, together you and I will learn how to navigate the therapy process. It never hurts though to set reminders of your therapy session yourself, to meet in a place where you feel comfortable and like you have some privacy, to have some water with you and anything else you may like. For example, a snack, tissues, a comfort blanket, or a journal or notepad. Some people take notes in therapy, or some people take notes between therapy sessions to help log their week and keep track of any thoughts or feelings they may want to discuss during their next session.

  • Yes. You can email me between our sessions. I strive to be responsive within 2 days, but sometimes it takes me a little longer. If you have not heard back from me within a week, please reach back out! Your email may have gotten sent to the wrong folder.

I try to dedicate my weekends to my health, so if you contact me over the weekend, you may not receive a response from me until the next week.

I am not, however, an emergency response service, therefore, if you are in an emergency or if you need emergency attention, you should call 911 or go to your nearest hospital or crisis center.
